It's a greyed out button in the patches section and apparently I cannot use it while any VMs are running, but XO is a VM, so how am I supposed to install this?
Thank you.

Follow this post - https://xcp-ng.org/forum/topic/9964/xcp-ng-8-3-updates-announcements-and-testing for host updates. This where where the rolling pool update would come into play when using more then one host.

So what does that update actually update? Is there a changelog or something? I don't understand the point of it.

Are you running a pool with only 1 host inside? If so, then I believe Rolling Pool Update (RPU) isn't available.

The point of it is to have a automated way to let XO migrate VMs in the pool to the other hosts. And when the intended host (master first) is empty, it will place it in maintenance mode, and afterwards reboot it. This will then re-iterate until all hosts in the pool have been updated.
