I am new to XCP-ng, so please let me know if this belongs elsewhere!

I have XCP-ng (7.6) installed and (mostly) working on a Dell R720. Everything is working fine, but for MxGPU SR-IOV. I can passthough a single GPU fine, and it works under load just fine in Windows and Linux.
However, when I install the drivers as instructed here (https://github.com/xcp-ng/xcp/wiki/MxGPU), restart the server, and attempt to start the VM again, I am presented with "Internal Error: No free virtual function found". SR-IOV is enabled for all devices in the server's UEFI, and the MxGPU supplemental pack install completes without displaying anything else.

Some other details that may help:
Dell R720
2x Xeon E5 2680
32Gb DDR3L ECC RAM
2x 1100w PSUs set to Redundant mode
Appropriate riser and power cables installed
Firepro S7150x2 installed in the Riser 3 top slot

The Dell support article I referenced mentions having everything that I have, but they advise having CPUs under 115w, but, IIRC, the Xeon E5 2680s are rated at 130w each. However, when both the CPU and GPU are loaded when one of the GPUs is passed though, server load never goes above ~450w (about 50% of server load). Long story short, I doubt that the CPUs drawing at max 30w more probably isn't the issue. https://www.dell.com/support/manuals/us/en/04/poweredge-r720/720720xdom-v3/gpu-card-installation-guidelines?guid=guid-268578e4-b96b-43ba-ac13-58c567cbb670&lang=en-us

Any help you all could offer to get MxGPU working would be greatly appreciated!

I'm trying to start with mxgpu with HPE ML380p Gen8 E5-2620V2. Inserting pci=realloc pci=assign-busses the server cannot boot. Below the point of boot where it crashes.
The log in images seems to recall a known bug --> "choose an explicit smt=(bool) setting. See XSA-297"
It's the pci=assign-busses that cannot permit to boot but without it "modprobe gim" has not inserted. Also using usb disk avoiding PCI disk system crashs during startup. Firmware bios is really recent ( 2019 ) , the last one. Someone has resolved this issue ?

I got the same SR-IOV errors as you. I added the pci=realloc pci=assign-busses params.
Unfortunately the the system does not manage to boot when adding pci=assign-busses.
Root disk in not discovered and dracut shell is started.
Did you run into the same issue and if so how did you fix it?

Edit:
If anyone else stumbles upon this.
I reinstalled on (usb) disk that is not connected to the raid controller and it seems to work now.
I speculate that since the controller is a PCI device and pci=assign-busses allows the kernel to override pci numbers the raid device cannot be found using the predetermined data in the initramfs. But that might be complete nonsense (no expert in these matters).

Unfortunately, I installed the new update, and I have been greeted with the same error.
What could the bottom prompt ("The selected virtual GPU type does not support multiple instances.") mean? Could that be a clue about how the driver/XCPng is not behaving how it should?

The driver was installed the same way that was advised in the wiki article. Am I doing something wrong? Could it be an issue with the driver/hardware?
