CentOS died a premature death when they pulled support for version 8 in 2021. We moved all of our workloads to rocky Linux and haven't looked back.

Stream is basically a rolling beta and not something I would use unless you're just mucking around with it.

Released in 2001, this Studio Ghibli masterpiece weaves a magical tale that transcends age and cultural boundaries. Miyazaki's unparalleled animation, coupled with the film's profound themes of resilience, courage, and environmental consciousness, make it a timeless masterpiece. 'Spirited Away' is not merely an animated film; it is a transcendent journey that captures the imagination and leaves a lasting impact, solidifying its status as a cherished favorite on 123movie.

Centos 7 is quite stable, but over time it will fall behind, it only receives security updates.
To be able to install version 9 of Red Hat, Rocky Linux, CentOS, AlmaLinux, Oracle Linux, etc. ( Red Hat based OS ) you can use v8 templates.
For example, I use Rocky Linux 8 templates for VMs with Rocky Linux 9, but I also used Red Hat 8 template and it's ok.

So, from a technical view, If I want to Install Centos in XCP-ng right now and continue using it for a few more years, in your opinion, Is it better to install Centos 7 or Centos 9?
Is it even possible to install Centos 9 on XCP-ng as I see no template for that in virtual machines ?

CentOS was a good project, that was until RedHat decided to turn it into Fedora with a different name.
The team that worked on CentOS is now working on another good project called Rocky Linux.
This is the reason why CentOS "disappeared" from the discussions.
