@Andrew
Thank you so much, I was not sure if there was a weird quirk between the generations that would cause them to be ejected from the current pool. That simplifies the rest of my upgrade then, first will be the CPU's, and then I will do memory next, just have to wait slightly due to my budget, but looking forward to the uplift for multi threaded. The single core uplift will just be a bonus on top, but I am trying to stretch out this platform for as long as I can get away with. Again thank you for the response much apprciated

Upgrade from E5-2620 V3 to an E5-2699 V4
Hi everyone new to the forum, I just wanted to ask about my specific use case, as I am looking to update the CPU's in multiple Dell FC430 servers in my FX2 enclosure. I am wanting to update from the dual E5-2620 V3 to dual E5-2699 V4 CPUs, so going from Haswell to Broadwell since I am looking to gain more cores and performance in the servers. Would I need to update all the servers in my pool to the E5-2699 V4 at the same time, or would I be able to just update one server without it being removed from the pool since the architecture is fairly close ?
