Advice on airgap console - xo to xcp
-
New to forum and xcp and I’m old - just so you know right off I’m a challenge. I’ve read posts discussing disconnected management from the internet and importing xo manually. I’m unclear on a few details and hope someone could make sense of it for me. The machine has multiple nic’s and the goal is to deploy the machine with dedicated nic for management and never have it touch the internet. This leads me to a couple of questions on how xo then talks to the machine. Does it need to be on the same subnet? My management subnet is blocked entirely from accessing the external world. Am I only (dumb ?) allowing xo to the internet on my mngt net or can xo be on another subnet? Is there a better method?
Thanks -
hi Brands,
In your post when you say "importing xo manually" could you paraphrase or elaborate ?
Do you mean installing XO ?
By the way yes XO has to be on the same subnet as your XCP-Ng computer.
Seems to me it would be easier, for a start, not to block your internet.
Best,
