@Andrew Thanks for your input Andrew. I'm still fairly new to this so unsure what XO source is. I'll investigate further on Monday and do further testing.

I don't think I'm having issues with the firewall or IDS as I can successfully backup a smaller VM on the same network/subnet as the larger one that is failing.

Unfortunately, that's just failed now with the same interrupted error.
It seemed to have gotten further on the stable version

I mean the behavior of the backup has changed on the latest version.

Tried three times now and they're all failing at the start, around two minutes in. Getting an "Interrupted" error. Previously they were running for just over an hour and getting to 100% before it would fail.

I tried the smaller VM that I previously had success with and that completed successfully on the latest version.

Just trying it again with the bigger VM after recreating the system remote from scratch and I'm 10 minutes in still on 0% and says the estimated end 8 days! It was previously estimated around 4 hours until it settled at around 1 hour mark on the stable version.

I'll be patient and see how it goes over the next 30 minutes or so.

@olivierlambert Thanks Olivier, we do have Pro Support available with our subscription, I'm fairly new to this and I forgot we even had the support option and wasn't aware of how the support tunnel worked etc

Would it be best if I open a ticket for this?

I'll move to the latest version and try again in the meantime.

Hi all,

I've been testing out the backup features within XOA. I've been successful in sending full VM backups to a local network location but I'd like to send backups to an offsite location.

I've created a remote location to a Wasabi bucket and successfully made a connection.

I've been able to send a small VM (7.2gb when compressed) to Wasabi with no issues, this took about 5 minutes to complete. Today I have tried sending a bigger VM to Wasabi, the VM is 20gb when compressed and sent to my local network location.

For some reason, when it gets to 100% the backup fails with "HTTP connection has timed out" the backup only takes just over an hour to complete.

Any idea why I might be seeing "HTTP connection has timed out" right at the end of the backup? I can see at the Wasabi end the folders get created but I just have a cache.json.gz in the bucket.

I'm using xo-server 5.124.0 / xo-web 5.126.0
