Hi all. I'm a sysadmin for a large engineering corporation with a strong VMware background and am working in converged infrastructure now with NetApp, Cisco UCS and VMware.
I'm also the one-man IT guy for the church I attend, hosting apps like Nextcloud and Icecast, website, etc. I host the same apps at my home, as well as things like Plex, AD, and a few other things. Free ESXi was great, but I didn't have options like DR without spending a ton of money..enter XCP-ng and XO. I learned of it this year and after some initial testing, fully committed at home and at the church. pfSense runs at both sites, using VPN to connect both sites. I can do continuous replication in both directions so in case one site goes down I can bring everything up easily in the other site.
This project has made my life easier for sure, so thanks to all who have contributed! I hope to be able to contribute with what knowledge of the project I have gained in the short time I've played with it.
