Task aborted before completion

We've started to delta backup + CR a couple of large virtual machines this weekend (2TB each). They seem to have run just over 24 hours and then the task was aborted. I assume this is likely due to a 24 hour limit.
What is my options? Can the 24 hour limit be disabled or can we set to not backup 2 VM's at a time but only do 1?

@danp thank you, but in our case the 2nd remote is a hypervisor? I dont know how we should run the backup first then copy the VHD files to the the 2nd hypervisor as continuous replication also creates a VM?
I am sure that if I can limit the amount of VM's that is exported once (it's currently 2) then the backups for the large VM should complete. Is there a setting available for this?
