Intel Flex GPU with SR-IOV for GPU accelarated VDIs

Hello eveyone,

First of all, Thanks to Team at Vates for the open-source Xen-based Hypervisor "XCP-ng".

Around 2022, Intel lauched the Flex line of data center GPUs which could be used with SR-IOV and get the GPU sliced into number of Virtual functions.

Lately, Wendell (for Level1 techs) [https://forum.level1techs.com/t/intel-i915-sr-iov-mode-for-flex-170-proxmox-pve-kernel-6-5/208294] was magaged to get the things working on Linux kernel 6.5. Looks like Intel is working on bring these Out of kernel patches to Mainline Kernel 6.8

I know Xen is different from Mainline linux. So I would like to know if there will be any possibility that Flex gpu's SRIOV functionality could be leaveraged?

I do not own or afford a Flex GPU at least in my country and at this point of time. But, people who can afford these things could use this info.

Definitely in agreement here. Getting Flex integration with XCP-ng is a no-brainer to me. Hopefully Vates is working on it. If not...Maybe there's a way to fund or prioritize the development?
