      Hi,

after installing and rebooting for those updates live migrating VMs is slow.

Idle small 2GB RAM VM needed 45min to migrate (couple seconds before, even while evacuating for the reboot), without storage change.

Sadly there seems nothing wrong in any logs.

I also tested I/O and network speeds, all just fine even from inside VMs. Restarted the toolstack too.

Setup is 3 Blades with iSCSI Storage attached. Multipath of course. Network is only Gbit for that Pool.

I am kind out of ideas what to look for at that point, so please let me know if you need any more information.

      Thanks in advance!

Sorry, if that is the wrong sub forum, but the others seem not to fit either.

After some experimentation I see it basically writes a new Volume to the iSCSI SR, from the Bandwidth and time needed it looks like it copies the complete volume to the same SR.

It should not do that or should it?

@kelsar Are you using XOA? Might sound stupid, but can you try on the CLI? I remember seeing a similar post somewhere.

After reading my own message, are you on the latest XOA?

Olivier asked me the same. And it worked fast.

But for some reason that Problem is just gone today and I have no Idea what it could been.

Most plausible is something was running somewhere in the background, but since the CPUs were Idle and no I/O to speak of... I am lost.

Also why did it try to copy the whole volume to the same SR it was copying from, guess we will never know.
