Possibility To Choose Multiple Health Check SRs Based on Backup Type
-
Hello,
I have been looking into consolidating my backup jobs and I noticed I can do delta backups and continuous replication from the same job at the same time based on this doc https://xen-orchestra.com/docs/backups.html#retention-and-scheduling. One thing that I was wondering though was what would be the possibility to select different health check SR based on whether the backup is a delta or a replication. The reason for this is I am doing my delta backups on site and doing the health check on my local pool on site. But I am also replicating my vms offsite to another pool and want to do the health check on an SR at the offsite location. If this is something that may be possible and I need to submit a feature request I would be glad to.
Thanks,

@Delgado I think you can select multiple SRs for a single job (and have multiple backup copies in remote locations), but I don't know that you could select different SRs based on the type of job automatically.
You could manage the remote pool with your main XO installation and then perform a health check remotely once the job is completed though.

Thanks @DustinB. I see where I can select multiple SRs for the actual backups themselves but for doing a health check I can only select one. I can look into your other suggestion though.

Right, I didn't think you'd be able to select multiple SRs for the health check operation, you could have multiple standalone health check jobs all of which go to a different destination if you wanted.

Thanks @DustinB I will look into a separate health check job.

@DustinB I may just be blind or looking at the documentation incorrectly but I am seeing a way to create a health check only job. Anyway you can point me in the right direction? Thanks!
