@AtaxyaNetwork Sadly I've done this multiple times as well with no luck of it turning into that format.

@DustinB Also when i look at the VHD in 7zip i can clearly see that it has a boot sector.

RE: Unbootable VHD backups
@DustinB To my knowledge this is the bootable volume. all the other backups in the parent folder are just differential backups that are much much smaller.

@DustinB You cannot disable all the boot devices in xoa.

RE: Unbootable VHD backups
@DustinB how do you get into the bios of a vm that wont even post? That also would only account for fixing one of the two VM's even if it did fix the problem.

RE: Unbootable VHD backups
@DustinB Yes i had a z-wave dongle passed through via USB to connect devices to my HA. But that never seemed to matter before if it was or wasn't attached. It would still boot and HA would say the device was missing.

Unbootable VHD backups
I'm in a bit of a pickle and a little in over my head but wanting to learn. So bare with me and please help if you can.
I recently built a new host and installed xcp-ng and the xoa inside of that. My previous rig that a friend of mine i no longer speak to setup my previous rig. What i tried to do instead of migrating was import all the vhd backups and then rebuild the VM's with that vhd disk attached. This worked for my windows os vm's but i am unable to get the two linux ones to boot at all. i know for a fact one is home assistant and the other is a debian host with docker and portainer for various containers i use like radrr and sonarr. Can some one help me get those 2 linux vm's to boot again. would be happy to do a remote session and call if need be.
The error i get on boot is
and yes i changed the boot order and still no change.
