When I updated xen orchestra from the sources today, my 2 GB of ram wasn't enough. The yarn build step crashed with a "FATAL ERROR: CALL_AND_RETRY_LAST Allocation failed - JavaScript heap out of memory".

I had to increase memory to 4 GB to get it to successfully build.

Not a bug of course, but xen orchestra itself runs fine with just 2 GB. Is there some switch for the build script that can limit the amount of memory it uses?

@arvid I think I built it with 3GB last time I tried. I don’t think you can build it with less anymore.

@arvid To get a successfull build you need 4GB of ram.
But you could use a pre-build docker container, that would use less memory.

            I also encountered this problem.
If you are using Debian you can use pre-packaged XO from sources https://github.com/mathiswolff/xen-orchestra
