Override migration network for Metadata backup when pool default is set

I am using XO built from sources and I am working on setting up metadata backups (I found out the hard way that these are important
). I have a default migration network configured for my pool, but for these metadata backups, I want to use a different network (my xo instance is not connected to my default migration network, I don't want to create firewall rules, and I would like to avoid adding an interface to connect my xen orchestra instance to the default migration network.)Is there a way to override the default network for this specific backup?
