Backup Error with sufficient Space
-
Hi!
I'm trying to make backup of 2 VMs, in external hdd.I did all the procedures of inserting the external hd as a disk inside the XenOrchestra VM, and a mount folder correctly.
The first VM was successfully backed up. But when i try to start the backup of the other VM i receive error Insuficient Space , buy my remote directory have space as seen in the picture (the second VM have 290GB space)

I see the post https://xcp-ng.org/forum/topic/3658/backup-restore-insufficient-space/3, but i didn't find any solution.
What i'm doing wrong?
Thanks a lot!

It appears that you don't have enough space on the source SR to hold the snapshot that is taken at the beginning of the backup.
-
@Danp but how the a VM with 290GB space (using only 130GB), makes a snapshot with more 1.6TB? (free space in external hdd).
What can i do?

@felipefonsecabh You misread my post. I mentioned the source SR (where the VM is currently housed), not the destination. How much free space is on the source SR?
-
@Danp really, i misunderstood your post. Yes my SR is low on space smaller than the VM size.
So the only solution would be to do an offline backup right? -
@felipefonsecabh Yes, an offline backup should work.

@felipefonsecabh You need to check the specific checkbox:
https://xen-orchestra.com/docs/full_backups.html#backup-without-snapshot
