I'm trying to make a VM backup. The VM have 2 partitions (thick provisioning), 160GB and 130GB respectively.
I have 730GB free space in remote drive to receive backup.

When i try to start backup the error SR_BACKEND_FAILURE_44 appear. (The VM is running)

But i read that i must have double VM space in drive to receive backup, so i my situation i fill the conditions.

If a turn off the VM a can start the backup process.

What size free disk i have to make this VM backup when it's running?

I connected a external hard drive formatted in NTFS in my XCP-NG host, but in RemovableDrives/Disk the drive show 0GB, and i can`t attach the disk in other VMs,

I'm doing something wrong?

I try to restore an backup and i receive ECONNRESET error. Log Attached: erro-log.txt
The backup generated with xenorchestra from the sources commit e246c and i try to restore in another host using xenorchestra from the sources commit 74ff6.

I try restart the server and xenorchestra, but not works.

Any ideas?

@john-c the problem is really the user/password.
I created a new user and all works fine!

I want to create a remote SMB on Windows 11 to make backup, but i can't create the remote.
The log says:

Command failed with exit code 32: mount -o domain=FELIPEFONSECA -t cifs //192.168.80.31\BackupD/ /run/xo-server/mounts/78e80f52-29ca-4b31-929a-dfed7b56cfbb

I check all security configs in Windows 11 and disabled the firewall, but the error persists.

Any ideas?

@Danp really, i misunderstood your post. Yes my SR is low on space smaller than the VM size.
So the only solution would be to do an offline backup right?

@Danp but how the a VM with 290GB space (using only 130GB), makes a snapshot with more 1.6TB? (free space in external hdd).

What can i do?

I'm trying to make backup of 2 VMs, in external hdd.

I did all the procedures of inserting the external hd as a disk inside the XenOrchestra VM, and a mount folder correctly.

The first VM was successfully backed up. But when i try to start the backup of the other VM i receive error Insuficient Space , buy my remote directory have space as seen in the picture (the second VM have 290GB space)

I see the post https://xcp-ng.org/forum/topic/3658/backup-restore-insufficient-space/3, but i didn't find any solution.

What i'm doing wrong?

Gostaria de fazer um backup da minha VM para um HD externo. Verifiquei que a melhor opção seria exportar o arquivo de extensão .ova.

Ao clicar para exportar, ele gera um link, porém verifiquei no XOA, que a máquina está em "Busy" realizando o snapshot da VM. Porém já se passaram 50 minutos, e na lista de tarefa não saiu de 0%. Essa VM tem 75GB de tamanho. (Na verdade, a máquina possui dois discos, cada um localizado em um SR diferente).

Quanto tempo leva para ser feito o snapshot de uma VM? Nunca tinha realizado esse procedimento.

Alguma outra recomendação para realizar o backup?

Olá Pessoal!
Instalei o XCP-NG em um servidor aqui que possui duas portas Ethernet, e gostaria que uma VM do PFSense fosse o firewall, e repassasse a internet para as demais VMs e máquinas da rede.
Basicamente, o host físico é conectado no modem da operadora, que está em modo bridge, e a outra porta é conectada em um switch. onde máquinas físicas irão se conectar e obter internet.

Então o primeiro passo eu instalei o PFSense, e vinculei cada porta a cada pool de internet (uma porta para WAN e outra para LAN). Inicialmente não preciso mexer com VLANs, não sei muito de VLANs.
Fiz a autenticação do Pppoe, eu vejo o IP público obtido (tenho ip fixo), mas não consigo pingar o IP Público, mesmo adicionando as regras de firewall para isso.

Alguém tem conhecimento nesse tipo de arquitetura, que pode me dar um help?
