      Cool topic,

      Here is my homelab setup:
      Configuration:

      3 x HP DL 380 G6 Server, 2 sockets with a total of 16 cores per Server
      96 GB RAM per Server
      Disk config:
      2 x SAS mirror 76 GB for booting the XCP-NG OS.
      Various local SR's varying per host between 420 GB and 240 GB.

      Storage:
      HP DL380 G2 host.
      Freemass 11.4 host. 2 socket with a total of 8 cores
      16 Gb RAM,
      2.4 TB Raid 5 arry storage. configured in Block storage mode for providing Fiber Channel connectivity.
      Booting from internal Kingston Datatraveler 32 GB USB Flash drive.

      Networkling:
      Storage:
      8 GB/s Fibre channel links connected to HP Storageworks 8/8 SAN switch.
      Ethernet:
      Each host has 4 independent 1 GB/s ethernet network ports.

      Goal:
      Understanding Hypervisor envorionments in the enterprise.
      Setup is for pure homelab usage.
      Next step will be figuring out VSAN / XOSAN mode storage.

        Could not find out how to edit my post:
        Additional :

        The 3 hosts are configured as a pool with one Shared storage SR.
        Sometimes i bring one of my hosts to a so called LANparty to run some temporary game server VM's

        So that is the reason i also configured some local SR's to bring the GameServer VM''s without having to bring the storage host.
