Backup Emails Don't Send If Backups Fail Due To License Issues
-
I recently got some license adjustments done for my org (the new licensing structure is great!), and realized after doing so that my backups were failing but I was NOT getting notified that they were like normal.
I have XOA setup to email me if my backups succeed or fail, so I know if there are any issues. I check on this every night and realized that after the license change, I wasn't getting notified at all. I logged in to check and saw failures across the board because "feature Unauthorized".
Realizing my new XOA Premium license hadn't been activated on this XOA yet, but the old one had been invalidated (since I swapped to the new structure), was the root cause of this.
I'm thinking it would be better if there was a way for XOA to email about failures if it's related to license failures, or maybe it's supposed to and there's a bug?
I can see a situation in which an admin forgets to check (or only checks when they get failure emails) and could go a while with backups failing until they realize the license didn't get updated.
Probably low down on the priority list, since this should be a fairly rare scenario, but wanted to mention it here for others to see.

That's probably something to improve yes, you can create an issue on GH, so we can change the notification to at least tell you there's something wrong with the license

@olivierlambert Sounds good, I will go do that, much appreciated!

@olivierlambert issue added, it's my first time doing it on GH so apologies if I missed anything or put it in the wrong category.

Perfect, thank you
