      Hi All,

      Currently, to get the USB pass-through connected to VM it takes VM reboot on top of assigning USB to the VM (regardless CLI or XOA).

      Is there any chance to have the specific USB, i.e. based on vendord:productID? I couldn't find a way to do it on XCP-NG, whilst it just worked on ESXi - not trying to spin up any product comparison, just sharing that even if on different hypervisor, this might be an interesting and possible option.

      Thanks in advance!

        Hi,

        It was asked recently in here: https://www.reddit.com/r/xcpng/comments/1hpyfsc/confusion_about_vusb/

          Hi @olivierlambert ,
          It indeed confirms that it is not implemented yet and needed by more people. Would be great to have it on XCP-NG.

          Thanks!

            Understood, I'm adding it in our internal "Product improvement/whishlist" 🙂

              @olivierlambert thank you.

              I wish all the best to XCP-ng hence sharing something what is a public knowledge though not necessarily reached you guys - might be worth to attack and tackle thousands of commercial and paying customers leaving VMware soon:
              https://blogs.idc.com/2024/08/07/vmware-cost-increases-how-broadcom-vmware-product-offerings-are-evolving/

              I know first hand businesses moving away soon from renewing VMware and have recommended in talks XCP-ng with commercial support as that's what these companies need.
