ConBee II USB passthrough
-
Need to pass a ConBee II USB Zigbee stick to my HomeAssistant VM. The device does not appear in my host's list of PUSB options. I was able to pass through my Z-wave.me UZB and Bluetooth 4.0 USB adapters without issue.

This is a ConBee II problem - they do not fully support the USB protocol what causes a lot of problems with passthrough. Had that trouble myself before with that device.Tried to go around with USB/IP, but in the end I switched to a SLMZB-06m as my ZigBee controller.

Have You tried PCI pass through
It worked well for my Sonoff Zigbee 3.0 USB Dongle Plus V2 -
@ph7 I don't see anything related to the dongle under PCI devices. When I plug in the stick I do see a new device named /dev/ttyACM0 in the host console.

I assume he means using PCI passthrough for the USB port/controller so HA has direct access to that level of the hardware to circle around some USB passthrough problems. In my case this did not helped with the ConBee, but you might try it anyway and it is no problem to reboot the host which is needed to activate the PCI passthrough
Another pro for switching to an IP based controller is that you can backup and migrate the VM without any problem.
