Host/Guest Console Scrolling
-
I see that when we're on the host's console screen we can use the mouse to scroll up to previous commands and such.
Is there a way to implement this into guest consoles?
-
You mean the same as doing "arrow up"?
-
@olivierlambert No, that just recalls the last commands. If you actually scroll with your mouse wheel on the host console it will show the screen above what's currently visible. Like if you run yum updates and there are 100 updates, you might only be able to see that the last couple were installed because all the other ones went off the top of the screen... if you scroll your mouse you can see the previous screens. Does that make sense at all?

So you mean Shift+Page Up?

Yes, this does the same thing as scrolling my mouse. Is it possible to implement this in the VM consoles?

I think that scrolling is passed to the VM, you can test with on a VM with a X server or Windows.

Hi there
I also have this issue. Neither in XCP-NG-Center nor in XO I am able to use Shift + PgUp to scroll upwards. (Just nothing happens)
I tested it with Ubuntu 18, 20 and also with Rocky 9.1 VMs.Is there a way to activate it?
Many thanks,
Cheers
