I for one wish xcp-ng had a LTSR track. This pace is overwhelming. Constant upgrades of critical infrastructure is not my idea of "fun".

      I totally agree

@stormi, what is your fair exstimation of the time it'll take to porting?
I guess this'll be lower and lower as new releases come out.

@maxcuttins I don't know yet how much time will be needed, but yes, this should be really faster than 7.5.

We'll see if we can follow next XS LSTR with security updates.

In the meantime we'll provide a minimum support for the N-1 release when release N is out, so 7.5 will keep getting security updates when 7.6 is out (but not bugfixes, with a few exceptions maybe).

@borzel thank you for new update and sorry for my bad english.

I have a freebsd vm which imported an ovf. I can't install xentool in it. This is ok and not problem for me. so no migrate option if i'm right click to this vm. like this: 0_1537426449553_c203c76d-8f49-4979-9e42-ae1d2c3b806a-resim.png

i can migrate this vm without problem if i use xe command in cli with force parameter. Also i can migrate this vm by XO like other vm's.

Can you add new force migrate option to vm's like this which xen-tools not installed?

                              Thank you again.

It is a great hypervisor, however I have few issues on my Infrastructure with 7.6.

I have buid a Cluster with Cisco UCS B200 Blades. We have Pure storage for our storage solution, when we configure our pool as a cluster to implement GFS2 (thin Provisioning) the multipath service keeps on crashing on every host reboot and we have to manually start the service. I added the service to automatically start in the startup, but in that case some of the host goes unresponsive and does not come out of maintenance mode on reboots. Citrix support recommends to wait for 8.0 :S

@KapilBandlish gfs2 is not supported on XCP-ng, the package is not open source and also not redistributable πŸ˜•

@KapilBandlish I don't understand. You are using XCP-ng and talking about Citrix support recommending something?

As @borzel said, thin pro on block device via GFS2 is NOT support in XCP-ng, because the storage drivers aren't open source.
