Xen Orchestra Community Edition won't let me Create my initial Virtual Machine via the Wizard.
-
Hi there MrXeon again, decided to make a post here since at this point I'm lost.
At first glance it seems I've successfully setup a self hosted XO instance on a separate machine other then my Host within a Docker Container.
XO seems to be working as you would expect mostly however when attempting to create a VM even after adding my XCP-ng Host, initial Pool, setting up my first ISO SR, and Regular SR with a Virtual Disk image ready to go... I can't seem to create a VM using the Wizard as intended.
No templates are populated, it won't list a selectable SR for the Virtual Disk... the create VM button is grayed out and occasionally the uuid for my default SR pops up in red on the storage drop down with a caution ️ symbol beside it.
What's causing this behavior, have I set something up incorrectly?
As usual any help is greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Mr Xeon.

Hi,
First, to check if it's not a local installation problem, can you see if all of that works with an XOA?
-
@olivierlambert Good Idea.
I'll do a fresh install of XCP-ng host like you suggested in my other post then if it's still occurring I'll try XOA and report back.

@olivierlambert I think my issue is might be host side..
I've reinstalled the XCP-ng Host and attempted to quick deploy XOA, unfortunately I can't open port 8888 because I'm utilizing Starlink atm which uses CGNAT and I lack the adapter to use a proper Router, since I didn't wanna go through setting up a VPN I ended up running the Bash Script alternative to pull the XOA image down.
Once I went through all that and the basic configuration, I attempted to start the VM via the command.
xe vm-start vm="XOA
I wasn't able to start it, it mentions that it couldn't start it on my host because "HVM isn't supported" It should, I have Intel Virtualization Technology enabled within the BIOS
Is this why the Wizard won't create a VM and how should I go around solving it?
