I have a VM that I copied from my test pool because the new storage drivers don't currently support incremental backups. It starts and runs fine. It originally had 4 vcpu but I increased that to 8. Whenever the backup runs, a snapshot is created but then the backup fails and the VM is left in a poweroff state. The backup error is this.

      INTERNAL_ERROR(xenopsd internal error: Domain.Domain_build_pre_failed("Calling 'domain_max_vcpus 4' failed: Xenctrl.Error("22: Invalid argument")"))

I have other 8 vcpu VMs that are being backed up successfully so I'm not sure why this one isn't. It appears to be working fine other than failing to backup.

@CJ Hei, I am having exactly same issue, did you ever find a solution? If you did, could you please share it with me. I did not manage to find any other threads regarding this issue except yours.

@norrisson I don't believe so. I think I just built a new VM to replace it.
