Optimization of Virtual Machines
-
Now that VMware is the outs, what optimizer tool are you folks using on your Windows 10-11 Golden Images / Templates?
Still running the VMware Horizon's tool?
Best to use the Citrix Optimizer tool?
Or is there a new one from XCP-NG that I have missed?
Or just throwing caution to the wind and skipping it? Who needs a well running optimized virtual desktop... -
I wonder if you are unclear about something and may not be asking the right question. XCP-ng is a hypervisor, not a VDI solution. That's not to say that a VDI solution could not operate above XCP-ng, but that they are not the same thing.

You are not wrong. I am looking to deploy some virtual machines and have a few remote users connect into them with a remote tool. Just seeing if anyone else is using anything differently when it comes to optimizing virtual machines.

@NerdsOrder66 Ah, good question... My most recent environment included a Windows Server with 100+ RDP users. There wasn't anything special for optimization there aside from giving it a bunch of RAM/CPU resources, but YMMV.
