RE: Home lab 3 AMD 5600G 10gbe/64GB/1GB SSD/1GB NVMe
@bbruun @olivierlambert Thanks for the information on the backups. It all makes sense to me. Was going to say during backing up everything still runs great, just I noticed it took a bit longer, but now I understand why.
I also am using a three node cluster using nvme as my drives on each node. I am doing the three replications too instead of the two. I am coming from using ceph storage and had always used a minimal of three replications. But maybe I will try just two to see how it runs!
Also this is just running all my stuff inside my house and it is solid. I do wish there was a home license for xostor so that I don't have to use the cli for everything related to it. I do enough CLI stuff in the day job and when at home I must of the time just want a gui to make it super simple.
Thanks again for a awesome product with xostor!

I am also having issues with Continuous Replication:
️ the writer IncrementalXapiWriter has failed the step writer.checkBaseVdis() with error Cannot destructure property 'other_config' of 'undefined' as it is undefined.. It won't be used anymore in this job execution.
️ Retry the VM backup due to an error

Error: Cannot destructure property 'other_config' of 'undefined' as it is undefined.I am on commit a14c4 using XO from sources.

RE: Home lab 3 AMD 5600G 10gbe/64GB/1GB SSD/1GB NVMe
@bbruun well I got xostor going between my three nodes. It’s been running a little over a week now and it is great. Everything is snappy inside the VMs and creation is fast too.
Only thing I noticed that my backups are super slow for thr VMs on the xostor storage. When it is either on local (not xostor just another storage) or NFS backing up the VMs are what I am use too.
Did you notice a difference in backup speed?
Thanks

RE: Passing Though a GPU
@Dean50 Also in there documentation they have a list of cards that will work.

RE: Passing Though a GPU
@Dean50 Based on your lspci inside the VM the gpu is passed through. Did you install the correct drivers for that card inside the VM? I have found on some nvidia cards I had to go download the correct driver for that card and then it works with Plex or jellyfin, guessing for transcoding because of the VM name.
Also jellyfin has a great documentation on getting the card setup in Linux for use of transcoding.

XOA xostor creation
I see that in XOA there is an option to create an XOSTOR from the web interface. I have a pool on 8.2.1 and was thinking about testing it out. My only question is will there be an option to select the network in the future through the web UI or we will just need to set that through the CLI?
Thanks,

@bbruun I know this topic is older but wanted to check to see if you were still running this setup? If so how is going because I was thinking of moving my setup over to xostor.

RE: Restoring from backup error: self-signed certificate
Same issues with restoring on the current commit, but rolled back 21 commits (6056a) and it works again.
