    • Newbie questions on XO and XOA

      Hi All,

I am very new to XCP-NG and so far I like it a-lot. I do have some questions regarding the web management interfaces aka - XO Lite and XOA, that I hope someone may be of help with. I am not able to manage/create/add VM's, storage, and other aspects of the host server, except that I can see the VM's and the host server that I have added. I am also able to see and use their respective consoles. I used the latest 8.3 build when doing my host sever install, an actually did the install twice as I was missing these functions and thought I missed something. I am having the same issues with XOA, in that I can not add/create VM's, manage/view storage, etc.. Is there something I missed, or are these functions just not available as of yet? I found a version of XCP-NG Center that I am using currently, which works well, but I would love to be able to use the web GUI as well. If I can provide any further information, please let me know. I have used VmWare for about 20 years, so please bear with me. I very much like what I see in XCP-NG 🙂 Thanks in advance for all of your help; I appreciate it greatly.

      Kind Regards,

      Eric

      Hi Dustin,

It's amazing what one can miss when setting something up, and I surely did miss that part. I now see much more in the way of management items. My project for the weekend will be XO/XOCE from source for my home rack. Thanks so much for seeing what I didn't.

      Take care,

      Eric

      Hi Dustin,

Evidently my editing software goofed on two of the photos (didn't save my edits) and included an email screen from my second monitor when I had blacked it out. Now I really do feel like a noob - ugh!

      Hi Dustin,

Thanks so much for your reply. It looks like I may have missed the nuggets about XO or XOCE from source, so that could very well be my problem. I have done some screenshots just for overall viewing in case I have missed other items as well. This is a work in progress for me, however I am liking what I see so far. I'm open to any and all good advice as it comes.

      Kind Regards,
