XOA, the pre-built appliance, is released with it's own version number (5.33 in this case).
XO-Server and XO-Web (components of XO) are currently at 5.38.1 and 5.38.0 respectively.

I would say that's XO is a bundle of various packages, so "Xen Orchestra" is in 5.33 (containing xo-server, xo-web, etc.)
It's not really related to XOA itself (the Debian appliance also got a build number).
But from the sources, you can have a "Xen Orchestra" version, but it all depends when you pulled each package.

When i get the mail then i hit the xo-updater... today i checked the version before update and see the difference...
Now i'm with 5.38 and 5.38.1

I don't know what's
xo-updater, maybe an external script, but it's not the upstream one from XOA or XO project.And yes, there is some patches sometime (for
xo-server, which is one package of Xen Orchestra).For example,
xo-serverin5.38.0never landed in XOA, because we did some QA before and found some issues. We patched it, and then we've done some QA again, and then we decided to release Xen Orchestra 5.33. That's why you can have sometimes some surprises from the sources, because it's not officially tested (unlike in XOA)
