Importing VMs all with same mac-address
-
I just discovered that all my vms I imported got the same mac-address. That's...not good! I didn't see any message to randomize a new one while configure the import. How do I generate a new one in the vms console?

ah! facepalm I just found it!
Although I would recommend to add that future when importing, or do it auto. Grr...can't post before 120 sec. -
@fraggan what are you takling about?
Can you specify what you exactly did (and with which tool) and what needed to be improved?

@borzel
When importing a VM via XOA all my machines got the same mac-address. Which fu the dhcp. While having static ips. So either have a field in the importing window where one should be able to chose mac-address assign to that vm or if the tool autogenerate one would be much better solution. Oh I exported from vmware into .OVAs. I found the place to enter a mac manual so I just copied the old ones. -
@fraggan so you should post this in the XenOrchestra section (moved)
AND look if this issue is already resolved and if not, open a ticket: https://github.com/vatesfr/xen-orchestra/issues
