      Server A is slightly older than Server B (XCP version) - Can Server A CR a VM to Server B and will it start?

        I know I cannot migrate / CR from a newer to older hypervisor version, so not sure if same applies for older to newer migration / CR

          @mauzilla Hi !

          You can migrate a VM from an old host to a host with a newer version, but not from the newer to the old one.

          For example, you can migrate a VM from XCP-ng 8.0 to XCP-ng 8.2.1, but not from 8.2.1 to 8.0

          You can however achieve this with CR, but better, you can do that with the new feature available since XO 5.77, Warm Migration

          Warm Migration work like CR, but do the migration part automatically: you can read more here: https://xen-orchestra.com/blog/warm-migration-with-xen-orchestra/
