No Xen tools detected on Windows server

not sure is it XO detection problem or something is wrong with tools.
after last secuity update i removed tools with cleanup script https://github.com/xcp-ng/win-pv-drivers/releases, install latest 9.4.1 tools from https://www.xenserver.com/downloads
and now XO tell meNo Xen tools detected. Windows server 2012r2. Same on both windows VMs.
Service is runnig, no related error logs.

Hi!
i have similar issue with 2012R2. You can clean deleting register and files manually or use first 7.2.0 drivers before install 9.4.1.

Continuing to use a depreciated and unsupported operating systems, while expecting other software developers to create code for said depreciated operating systems is absolutely insane.
While third party developers can opt to write for said depreciated operating systems, no one is obligated to do so.

Sunk cost Fallacy is what I'm hearing you say.

And yet this posts exist.....
You trying to install updated drivers on this VM is just adding to the Sunk Cost, the obvious thing to do would be to find an alternative to whatever software this is running, at almost any cost, otherwise you'd be paying for custom dev work to maintain the drivers on this system (and likely paying Microsoft for updates).

@DustinB the problem is that wrong drivers could be installed on wrong OS without warning. nothing else.

Wouldn't the logical thing as someone who has worked in this field for decades be to critically think about what depreciated OS's are in play, and validate that any updated software is backwards compatible before installing it?

That is your job and your employers cost adding to the total unnecessary expense of keeping server 2012 around...
You have to research ahead of these changes, it's not someone else's job to warn you that a depreciated OS is no longer supported.....
