XOSTOR / XOA down

Hello, I paid for the Enterprise license as well as the XOSTOR license, and I'm currently setting up the solution, but I have a question. What happens to XOSTOR if my XOA goes down? Thanks a lot !

The XOSTOR SR will continue to operate even if the XOA is down, removed, etc.

had many problem of performance and tap-drive locking my VDIs on 8.2 xostor
would like to know if 8.3 xostor still have issues
