I'm new to xcp-ng and would like to know if it's possible to hot-plug RAM, CPU, and storage.

@User-cxs it is possible as long as your OS accepts it.

must be planned in the advanced settings of your VM.
        Can be hotplug

If your CPU limits are 2/8, you can hotplug 6 more vcpus

@Pilow So if my CPU is set to a maximum of 4, does that mean I have to restart the VM in any case? Or even for RAM—if I want to increase the maximum size, do I have to restart, if I understand correctly? Capture d'écran 2026-03-17 094123.png

Yes, it can be dynamically changed up to the CPU max limit (the latter has to be changed offline). For memory, static can only be changed offline, while dynamic (by definition) can be changed live.
