Number of cores in stats is incorrect for VMs
-
So I have a VM that I originally had 8 cores assigned to it when I created it via xcp-ng Center. I've since reduced the cores down to just 4 however on the stats page in XO its still showing 8 in the legend below the graph. Is there a way to get rid of the 4 unused CPUs from showing up on the graph legend?

How many cpus are displayed under the General tab?

Just 4.

How does it look in XCP-NG Center?
-
That's because your RRDs still got "history" with 8 cores, but you can see they are at 0.
This will be better handled (if we can, IDK yet) in Xen Orchestra new UI (XO6)

Thanks Olivier. Is there no way to reset the RRD for this vm?

I'm not sure. Maybe restarting toolstack but maybe not. Or migrating to another pool
-
Hmm. I think I’ve restarted the tool stack already. I don’t have another host so migrating to another pool is a nonstarter I’m afraid.
Bummer.

This will disappear as soon the oldest RRD will be removed. I'm not sure about this anyway. This is something we'll take into account in XO6 (as far as we could, IDK if we could differentiate no activity vs no data on a core)

xcp-ng Center displays it properly, so yeah, it must be the way XO is pulling data.
Oh well. Not a big deal. Just was curious. Thanks Olivier!
