Hi all, I am Daniel Beato and have been using XenServer and most recently XCP-NG since 2010 also been using Xen Orchestra since 2012 so it is good to see the great development of the products.

Howdy all,
I'm Sam McLeod, an engineer and long time DevOps proponent based in Melbourne, Australia.
I work with an Australian Non-Profit and Charitable Organisation called Infoxchange.I'm currently moving us from XenServer 7.2 to XenServer 7.6.
I was (still am) on pretty good terms with several people at Citrix's XenServer teams but I was pretty disgusted by the change in free licensing with the release of 7.3 and I'm also the Sam McLeod replying to David here: https://xenserver.org/blog/entry/xenserver-7-3-changes-to-the-free-edition.html

Hi all!
I'm Simone Lazzaris and I've been using XenServer in the company I work for since version 4.0. I've choosen XS over VMware for the licensing (VMware licensing is just evil), the hardware support and the architecture, which I find superior.
Over the years I've always found that Citrix was keeping out from XS many features that could be very useful: hyperconverged FS (ceph or gluster), ZFS, automatic upgrades via YUM, etc.
When Citrix then changed the licensing, I was looking for an alternative. I've found XCP very intriguing; I think that if we can build a real community of developers, XCP is going to be the best VM solution for the small-medium business, hands off.

Hi @axel for German translation, it's pretty easy! Just ask for it, I'll create a specific branch ready to translate

@ib22003 Hi Ibidapo, nice to meet you, My name is Patrick and i just discover XCP-NG which seem to be a great alternative to XS. I just install XC-NG on two of my server with 40 Vcpu each and i try to install openstack on it but i didn't find useful documentation. This one is not useful install openstack because many links are dead and it seem to be for XS, please can you share with me some documentation on how to install openstack on XP-NG? Thanks a lot

Than can a translation easy ;-). We can diskus that when my project is ready. Then i had a lill bit more time 2 start new things.
But i will write a articel 4 www.heise.de ct or ix about using XCP-NG as a HA system with 2 servers. -
Okay, the easiest path is to create an issue on Xen Orchestra bug tracker, asking for German translation, then a dev will give you a list of things to do

Hi All,
I run a software development company specialising in providing SAAS services for the print industry and have been using XS since 6.0 hosted on HP G6, G7 and Gen 8's with HP EVA and MSA2050 SSD storage (you gotta love those Samsung PM1663a SAS SSD drives). With the introduction of XS7.3 restrictions, I planned to migrate to KVM and have already installed a 3 node cluster but XCP-ng has certainly made me reconsider this course as I'm a XS fan at heart. Looks like you'll be getting another XO order @olivierlambert
Great work and a great start to 2019

Hi all!!!
My name is Dario and I've just started to use Xen for a university project. I was really loyal to ESXi (just because was free for students ) but since I discovered XCP I'm making the best effort to switch over here. And to be honest, I am very glad to see that this community is relatively young. Newbby Question: is it any certification/professional diploma dor the xen family? Can anyone point me the best direction to go for an intensive learning plan? Thanks, I really hope to give my contribution as well soon.\

Hi @tanacca, and welcome aboard
- No, there is no certifications I'm aware of. This is typically something common for big corporate ecosystem (VMWare, Microsoft) but a bit less usual for community projects.
- However, you have access to everything so the best way to learn is to have some platform build objectives and to try to do that at home. Everything is Open Source, so you can dig when you like.
Good luck and see you around for your questions!
