@olivierlambert hi there, I'm in a non-IT related department, very quiet.
long story, stress, poor payment, low resources... I think I will be happier here.by the way I will keep on the email subscription so I keep informing on how is your way going.
good luck with your projects !!

Thanks a good luck on your new missions!

Hello !
I'm a senior linux/unix administrator/system engineer and I'm also working with networks (L2/L3).
I first started using virtualization in 2006 on a Debian/xen basis, then Xenserver 5.5 -> 6.0.2 -> 6.2 -> 7.2 -> xcp-ng ...
I've also been using xen-orchestra since the first public version. -
Welcome @bogikornel !

Hi!
I'm a Citrix engineer working for an MSP in the UK, just started using XCP-NG for my home Citrix lab as XenServer had issues with my Lenovo M80q mini system, so I came across XCP-NG 8.3 and it works a charm so far.
Got an MCS deployment working with no issues yet.
Thought id stop by and say hello while I read through all the useful posts on here.

Hello @MichaelMyers84 !
We'd like to get an official support for Citrix things on top of XCP-ng (since it's the same API than XS), maybe in the future

Hello, I am a systems engineer for a mid sized ISP. I have been mostly a VMware/Vsphere admin going back to 2007 back in my enterprise days. Even played with XEN project a bit prior to jumping into ESX. I started using xcp-ng in my personal lab to prototype cloud-init scripts, Ansible playbooks and other IaC toolstacks, and to have a solid reliable virtualization stack to run my hosted apps, email, and websites. Thanks to the xcp-ng team for such a stable and easy to use system! The support is top notch!

Thank you @dj423 ! We hope to convince more and more VMware users to make the transition, there's a good momentum around this recently

Hello!
I'm system and network engineer.
I have started work with xenserver since 2013 (I think it was opensource 6.2 version).
In 2015 I started deploing my own control panel for hosting based on xenserver. After Citrix closed free version I started to move to XCP-ng.
Now I'm playing with xcp-ng + GPU, testing performance in different scenarios and sharing on this forum I believe that knowledge should be open so that everyone can move forward faster.

Hello team,
I am a system and network integrator in the defense sector.
I have deployed the XCP-NG hypervisor for our tools (moving from ESXI 5.1 to XCP-NG 8.2 ). I have been working in IT for several years now and have previously used XenServer 6.5, so I'm not completely lost. As for virtualization technologies, I am agnostic (Proxmox, VMware, Hyper-V, etc.).
Looking forward to exchanging ideas with you!PS: Is it possible to have a sub-forum for French speakers?

Hi and welcome
Subsection for other language tend to split the community a bit, but I can create it, yes

@Glitch Hey Glitch! Make sure you check out the maintenance mode for SR, along with its web hook! An idea I came up with during Covid-19 pandemic, and Vates implemented.
Something which can aid large deployments of XCP-ng and Xen Orchestra, such as your employer's one!
By the way nice avatar! A fan of Japanese Anime I take it? Especially the Ghost in the Shell franchise, Laughing Man in Stand Alone Complex.

Hi!
I have been using Xen for nearly 10 years, now. I started with VirtualIron and changed over to Xenserver when Citrix closed VI.
My use-case is mostly a company-network of a mid-size-company.I know this is an old post...but..I loved VirtualIron
btw, Oracle "killed" (aka bought) VirtualIron. -
I'm the president of a general contractor in the South. I've also been our IT person for 30+ years.
Last fall, when the winds of change at VMware began blowing, I started looking into alternatives for esxi. I happened upon videos about XCP-NG from Tom at Lawrence Systems and I decided to install it on a test system.
Its a great product and I've enjoyed getting to know it!

Welcome!

I understand, it's true. We will say that it is always more friendly in this native language and easier to discuss complex subjects.

@Glitch if you checked, I created the French category few minutes after my answer

Hi John,
It works, I'm looking at it
Exactly, well doneIf your wondering how it was recognised, you see I have watched Ghost In The Shell too! It introduced me to Japanese Anime and I was introduced to it by Media Studies students at the college I went to! While I was studying during a free period at the college on my IT course which was being studied at the time.
You see I was in the library (Bibliothèque) at the time and the media studies classroom was right next door.
I wouldn't be too surprised if there was two way inspiration between Ghost In The Shell and the Cyberpunk novel used for the base of Cyberpunk 2077 video game!
