XCP-ng Update Auto Enabling Secure Boot
-
Just an FYI to anyone out there, seems that XCP-ng's latest update is auto enabling the secure boot option on VMs causing some Windows VMs to not power on safely. I personally don't think this setting should be getting toggled during an update/reboot process.
Luckily I had another backup method to get things back up and running but one of the VMs that I generally need for remote access wouldn't start due to this issue.

OK @olivierlambert was correct, I mistakenly had enabled secure boot previously before the update so it was already on when I did the reboot.
Just tested things in my home lab again and they did NOT change from disabled to enabled, so good to go!
Thanks!

I don't think that's the case

My 2 cents: it's possible you enabled it before and it just worked because it wasn't implemented/enforced. Now it's implemented, if you do not install the certs correctly, it will break (that's a good behavior and the whole point of secure boot)

@olivierlambert I suppose it's possible, I'm pretty sure I never enabled it before but maybe so.
I'll test it on my lab setup and verify that the option is set to disabled before I update and reboot and see if it's still disabled after the fact, then I'll come update the post.
Thanks!
