I followed the blog post to create a local SR for ISOs, but when I try to import an ISO, nothing will happen.

Also, the import screen still only says to "Drop VMDK or VHD..." ISO was not added, as displayed on the blog post.

It seems XOA does not recognize my ISO SR as such. Instead it seems to think it is a VM SR. When I go to the Disk view, it says "No VDIs in this storage".

I am trying to create a VM via XOA to build XO ce from sources, since all of the instructions assume you have a [Debian] VM.

        Hi,

Are you sure you created an ISO SR type in the first place? Please share a screenshot of your SR view.

Can you screenshot the general tab of this SR?

Okay and when you go to "Import" menu, "Disk", then select the SR, you can't upload an ISO? 🤔

No. From the screenshot in the instructions, ISO should be mentioned before VMDK. When I select an ISO to import, nothing happens.

Your XOA might be really outdated then 🤷 Please check that you are up to date.

@olivierlambert That's very strange. I'm running 8.2.1, and installed/setup xoa from the web UI.

                        The tag is 2021.08

                        It is running Debian 11.

This is unrelated. The update is done via the updater. Go in the "XOA" menu entry, you should be registered to get the latest version from here.

@olivierlambert Sorry. I was working some other stuff, so I haven't had a chance to look. And I don't know if I will have time until next weekend.

Thank you for checking up, though. I will post when I have an update on the situation.
