      Hello,

is Intel Xeon Gold 54XX "Sapphire Rapids" supported?

I have seen for example for XenServer this hotfix:
      https://support.citrix.com/article/CTX477249/hotfix-xs82ecu1026-for-citrix-hypervisor-82-cumulative-update-1

Is XCP-NG 8.2 already compatible with "Sapphire Rapids" CPU?

      Thank you.

@gecant Yes. That hotfix was released with the XCP-ng March 2023 Security Update

@phil182182 We have done it on one EX130-S.
We had crashes with 8.2, but everything went fine with 8.3 Beta.

Online for about 1 month already with zero problems so far.

I suggest you to try the installation one more time with 8.3 Beta.

@gecant thanks for the reply, so happy to read this was just sad this wouldn’t work - but there seems to be hope 😅 - which iso did you use for 8.3? Net install or normal? did you boot normal or with any options? Also did you change anything in bios?

Asked hetzner support about this, but they had no clue … also they tried to insert the iso via usb stick but the server didn’t recognize it…had to use the slow kvm and insert the iso from local hdd (my install pc is also a vps hosted at hetzner so it was kind of fast 🤣)

Would be so great to hear from you 🤩

                  @phil182182

                  8.3 netinstall

default boot options, no changes in BIOS.

USB with ISO did not work.

KVM with loaded ISO did the trick.
Wait long enough to make sure your ISO is uploaded fully.

                  Good luck! 😉

Sometimes, I had to try 3 or 4 different sticks before one works. Those little things tend to die pretty quickly.
