      Greetings,

      I purchased an x1 starter license and currently the status is "License bind to : Not bound". I was hoping to play around with it before my new server arrives.

      My Question:
      Can I bind the license for a dev trial and then rebind it to a production machine at some later point?

      Thank for your help!

      JB

        Licensing is for support only, if you need to run a sandbox of Xen Orchestra I'd recommend https://github.com/Jarli01/xenorchestra_installer.

        You'll get all of the available features, and then can setup XOA later and bind the licensing to your host appropriately.

          @DustinB Thanks.

          That makes sense. I'm actually running this on a ubuntu server which accomplishes the same thing: https://github.com/ronivay/XenOrchestraInstallerUpdater

          So I'm good thanks,

          JB

            Yes, you can move the license to a new XOA instance. If you go to the XOA > Licenses tab, you will see something like this --

            Click this button and follow the prompts to bind the license to the new instance.

              @Danp Interesting.

              Now I have to try it! 🙂

              Thanks,

              JB
