I imported a stopped VM from ESXi 6.7 and the import completed successfully, but the imported VM won't boot.

The VM is an AlmaLinux 9 with two NICs. The VM has a single HDD, partitioned with LVM.

Starting the VM seems OK until "Starting dracut initqueue hook." From here it enumerates the physical disk devices and hangs for along time.

It tries to boot multiple times finally ending by dropping to

      Starting Dracut Emergency Shell
      Warning: /dev/almalinux/root does not exist
      Warning: /dev/almalinux/swap does not exist
      Warning: /dev/mapper/almalinux-root does not exist

      Generating "/run/initramfs/rdsosreport.txt"

I am unable to copy the log information and while I can cat the rdsosreport.txt file I am unable to save it to my computer.

      What have I done incorrectly?

      Thank you,

      Darren

Have you tried this method described in the documentation?
