    • RE: XOA Proxy and Console Access

@olivierlambert thank you. I am on the official channels since I pay for premium. I will wait to see the fix this week. 🙂

Also, same behavior as mine. I can see stats as well. I will report this on the Github site.

    • Pinning CPUs to dom0 - Does it really make a difference?

      Hello XCP Community,

I guess thats the question. Does pinning CPUs in dom0, effectively taking them away from guests, provide enough benefit to be worth it? Now I know this is a very large question with a metric s#&t ton of variables, I am just asking in general. Is there a threshold that you have seen this provide benefit?

I look forward to your thoughts.

    • RE: Unable to MIgrate VDI when host is low on free memory

@nikade I am trying to move the VDI from one storage SR to another on the same host. This is not in a cluster. This is a standalone host.

@olivierlambert Here is the amount of free RAM on the system.

But when I try to migrate a VDI to a new storage repo, I get this error:

      HOST_NOT_ENOUGH_FREE_MEMORY(8663334912, 3104964608)

I can create a new VM on that SR without issue.

    • Unable to MIgrate VDI when host is low on free memory

I have a small server that I use as a test host, and I added some SRs on it that are network-based. One is NFS and the other is iSCSI. VMs work fine on these SRs, but when I go to migrate a VDI on a running VM, with the Xen tools, I get a "not enough free RAM" error regardless of whether I try to migrate it to the NFS or iSCSI SRs. This host is very short on RAM. I am running the latest patched 8.3 with QCOW enabled. I tried two machines. One was an existing with a VHD disk and the other is a VM with a QCOW2 disk.

      Thank you for the help.

    • RE: Dynamic Memory Increase says VM needs to reboot

@olivierlambert ok, i see my order of operations is wrong. Thank you for the help.

So quick question about memory ballooning since we're talking about memory. I assume you can over-subscribe memory? This would be done with the dynamic ranges?

    • Dynamic Memory Increase says VM needs to reboot

      Hello,

I am running a Linux box on XCP-NG 8.2.1 that shows the tools in use, and when I try to change the VM's dynamic memory, it says it needs to be rebooted. Am I missing something?

    • VMware importer using Proxy

      Hello,

Can a VMware import job be performed via a proxy or do I need to install XOA on the site where the XCP-NG and Vmware server is running?

      Thank you for the help.

    • New proxy giving unauthorized error

      Hello,

I am trying to deploy a new proxy on a remote XCP-NG host, and I ran the CLI command on the XCP-NG host and it all went without error. I then port forward port 4465 to the internal IP of the proxy (443). I then go to my XOA to register the proxy but it telling me unauthorized, a 401.

I used the token from the install.

I have set these up before. Am I missing something?
