    • RE: XOCE Integration with OpenLDAP

you using openldap or trying to integrate with an actual MSAD ?

My settings (to connect to MSAD)
      URI: ldap://adress.to.my.dc
      bind dn: myUserToConnectToDC@domain.com
      pass: password.to.user.in.bind.dn
base: dc=domain,dc=com (because i've had set up restrictions on my user, thats why i pointed the full catalogue)
      filter: (sAMAccountName={{name}})

      try those 🙂

    • [XOCE] Building on FreeBSD 12 - Error bcrypt_lib while yarn

      Hi,

I was trying to build a fresh copy of XOCE on FreeBSD12 (i succeeded in the past) but i came across a weird error while yarn.

It shows that node_module bcrypt cannot be built because there is no bcrypt_lib available @github for FBSD.

I've tried to replace bcrypt with bcryptjs but no luck.

Anyone here has a working XOCE built on FBSD12 ? can you share how you've done it ?

      Specs:
      FBSD12p7
      Node: 8.16.0
      Yarn: 1.16.0

    • RE: XOSAN - few questions :)

Ok, so.. giving the fact that you cannot grow your XOSAN pool by adding disks locally..
so is it possible to create another XOSAN pool with those new local disks and being able to have two XOSAN pools simultaneously on the same nodes ?

    • XOSAN - few questions :)

      Hey guys,

I am interested in using XOSAN for my company's testing env but my boss needs some informations so I have a few questions for you bout XOSAN and I hope you will be able to provide any answers to those.

      1. is there any recommendation for using a separate hdd for host and separate hdd for XOSAN storage ? or maybe using the same phisical hdd for both may not affect the efficiency and performance ?

      2. Does XOSAN use cache layer on SSD and capacity on HDD/SSD (like VMWare vSAN does) ?

      3. How does the number of phisical drives in host/cluster node affect the XOSAN performance ?

      4. Is there a way to extend XOSAN storage by adding new phisical drives to the existing hosts/nodes instead of adding new hosts/nodes ?

Thanks in advance for any answers !
