    • Template visibility on multiple pools

      Hello
      For context, we have two physically separate sites, each of which has one physical host running XCP-ng. Each site has one pool containing the local host.

      Site A-->Pool A-->Host A
      Site B-->Pool B-->Host B

      Site A is also running XO which I want to be the single "manager" of all the VMs at both sites. Both sites are connected with a site-to-site VPN.

      When creating a VM in pool A, I can see my custom Templates and Custom Configs. When creating a VM in pool B, I cannot see the custom Template and Custom Configs, not can I see a way to create them.

      Is it expected behaviour that the Templates & Custom Configs are limited to a specific pool?

      Thanks
      Michael.

    • RE: Confused re: pricing (XOA vs. Vates Essentials)

      olivierlambert I guess when you say "it doesn't make sense" you mean it doesn't make sense for Vates?? If a customer has one host their price is going to go from $960/yr to $2,000/yr - right?

    • Confused re: pricing (XOA vs. Vates Essentials)

      This is possibly a follow-on from https://xcp-ng.org/forum/topic/8742/xoa-pricing-guide but I decided to create a separate thread:

      I have reviewed:

      • https://vates.tech/pricing-and-support/
      • https://xen-orchestra.com/#!/xo-pricing

      We have two XCP-ng installations/pools and I'd like to be able to have a single XO manage them both. The proliferation of "levels" is highly confusing:

      • Free
      • Starter
      • Enterprise
      • Platinum
      • Essential
      • Essential+
      • Pro
      • Enterprise

      olivierlambert can you advise on which page is the "best" source of info on your products?

      Merci,
      Michael.

    • RE: Technique for shared repo of cloudinit templates

      olivierlambert good morning. I’m thinking that it would be good to use a GitHub repo for our cloudinit files because we could use features like “issues” to manage requests from users for new configs and/or changes to existing configs. There’s be much better visibility and audit around who changed a cloudinit configuration, and why they changed it. We’d also use PRs to ensure that someone with specific expertise is cloudinit reviewed proposed changes.

    • Technique for shared repo of cloudinit templates

      Hello
      does anyone know of a clever way to automatically import cloudinit templates/files from a versioned repo (e.g. github) rather than edit them in XO?

      Michael.

    • Addition of plugins to already installed XO

      Hello all - I installed XO using the "Quick Deploy" option in XCP-ng 8.2.1. Having played around a little bit I would like to add SSO authentication using auth-google.

      When I go to Settings>>Plug-ins, I do not see an option to add new plugins. How do I add a plugin?
