Upgrading to another windows version will probably require a new license key. Going straight to 2025 is doable...but i think it's a little too much of a strech. Try to go with 2019-2022. Also you can't jump more than 2 versions from 2012R2 directly to 2022, you can go only to 2019 and then another in-place upgrade to 2022. Only 2025 allows upgrading from 2012R2 directly.

Why don't you upgrade the VM to Windows Server 2016 ??. It is possible to do an in-place upgrade from 12 to 16. Of course take a backup first.

@dinhngtu i've manage to fixed it. Your build adds some extra entries in /var/lib/xcp/state.db that aren't in the version from testing, that broke things when i downgraded the packages.

@dinhngtu No i did not. Right now I'm running as is...seems to work fine. I tried to downgrade to testing packages but I can't connect with XenOrchestra to the server after reboot. So I had to reinstall the packages from your repo to make it work again.

Yes. I removed pci=nomsi entry from grub. I've tested on a Debian Forky and CentOS Stream 10 VMs with gnome and an intel alderlake igpu passthrough no issues at all.
