I started a restore yesterday, and it said it was going to take some hours so I left it running.. When I came back to XO today, there are no pool tasks listed for importing, there is a API call: backupNg.importVmBackup task that is "started," and under Restore shows as started as well but there is no traffic between the system and the remote. It seems this backup will never complete, and I can't cancel it either. The raw data for the restore shows "transfer" is "pending."

@blueh2o the restore should have timeout . Is it possible that it run more than 24h ?
you should restart xo-server, increase the timeout and retry https://docs.xcp-ng.org/management/manage-locally/api/#_24h-task-timeout

@blueh2o the community is going to need some help from you.

Are you using XOA or XOCE?
          If using XOCE, what version?
What version of XCP-ng is installed on your host
What backup medium are you using, NAS, cloud, windows server?

          More details please

@florent increasing the timeout value was the solution. Thank you.
