I have 2 individual (not in same local) xcp-ng server in different version 7.5 and 8.
How to create resource pool? is there any benefit to create a pool of this?

        Hi!

        1. You can't have a pool with different versions, so you'll need to update first.
        2. Having a pool is handy if you need live migration without storage (shared SR) or same network

@olivierlambert Can you not live migrate with two hosts but not in the same pool? I didn’t think a pool was beneficial for two hosts without shared storage.

You can, but as I said, in this case, you'll need to move the storage with it. Unlike with a shared storage, where only the RAM is migrated between 2 hosts.

So RAM only migration is really faster than storage motion, especially true if the VM is using a large disk.
