      Hi all,

I am just looking for a possibility to add a second virtual monitor to a Windows VM under XCP-ng 8.2.
I have read about GPU-Passthrough and went through some Google results, but nothing fit to my question.
Problem is, that I do not have a GPU (beside the iGPU of the CPU) inside my server and I want to prepare a Windows Workstation VM with two (dual) monitors.
I would like to connect remotely to this VM via RDP-protocol, where I could use the second monitor at the remote station (second monitor physically connected).

Is this a possible scenario without using GPU-passthrough?

If not, can I use GPU-passthrough for multiple Windows VMs, which should be used for the same scenario (Remote Desktop connection)? Or does GPU-passthrough does only works 1:1 (so one graphic card for one VM)?

Many thanks for your suggestions and hints.

      Markus

        Hi @birduser

Not an helpful answer but still an answer: I don't know. However, I hope someone in the community will know something about this 🙂

@olivierlambert Many thanks anyway. Did not even find something about this at the Citrix forums....

For accessing a Windows VM from a remote Windows workstation using RDP multiple monitors can be used by selecting "Use all my monitors for remote session" checkbox on the display tab of the Remote Desktop Connection application on the Windows workstation. This works for me with 3 monitors.
