So I keep getting this task appearing "Xapi#getResource /rrd_updates" on my pool master, yet there is no VMs running on that host.

      Why does this keep appearing?

Your host is possibly behind a NAT.

@olivierlambert No. The host is in the same subnet as XOA.

probably a separate storage network you xo is not connected to?

@heman So I dont think so.

              My setup is as follows:
              7a579732-3aef-4058-b2a1-33320d526fad-image.png

My storage is on a separate vlan/subnet from my management, but neither are NAT'd, and XOA has an interface with an IP on both subnets (it uses the storage network to do its backups).

ok, that was what solved it for me; adding a pif with an ip in the storage and/or management network to the xo vm.
Is the management interface you use for xcp-ng itself also on the same management network?

@heman Yes. The management interface on each host (Eth4) is in the same vlan as XOA's management interface. Storage vlans on each host (Bond0) is in the same storage vlan as the second interface on XOA (setup for backups) with no gateway.
