Hi fellow xcp-ng Admin and User

My friend using 2 vm on my xcp-ng server. He's not really it-approved and i don't wanna give him admin rights to the whole xcp-ng or xo-infrastructure. I add a normal user for him and add resources in the self-service tab to manage his 2 vm's itself. The daylie and weekly backup's on a local and remote nfs-share is fine. All of that stuff works really nice and convinient, i love the simple way 😘

Now i have a question about the restore of a vm. Is it possible, that a user (admin of a specific vm, but not admin in xo) have the option to restore his vm himself?

      version:
      xo-server 5.111.1
      xo-web 5.114.0
      xcp-ng 8.2.1

      Greetings

        Hi!

Short answer: no. Restore is only for a "superuser" (admin) not for "regular" users.

In the long run: maybe 🙂 So it's up to you (for now) to restore the VM.
